Recording again - October 12, 2007

Hello!! Hi Mom!
If you're wondering if you'll be able to take home Thought for your cd players, kPods, Djum Djum Players, 8 tracks etc... That's a good thing! And to answer these wondering questions, we simply have to say, "Soon, our dear brothers and sisters of Love." We're back at it at the Playground studios in Bushwick(?) with our dear Producing-soldier-brother Joshua Sitron! We're working on this studio album for you! You've been patiently waiting for the one, and we hope this will be one for the ages, complete with all that grit, smell, inspiration, love, joy, and experience of 7 years as a band, a tale of 4 cities, and insanity. We hope to be finished with recording by the end of this year. We're taking our time, friends. WE want to make it juuuust right. So, you sit tight na, ya heard?!
Peace and love!

The Gangsters Record - March 29, 2007

Hi. Everyone is antsy about PJ picking up and mixing the files we recorded last weekend during our St. Patty's Show @ Galapagos Art Space. Besides my mouth being DRY, and my valves sticking, we were extrememly pleased with our performance and we think it will translate well onto Paul Cox' super high-end recording gear. Here's a video:

Also, we've been in the Studio with our dear Angel Josh Sitron located just minutes from the Treehouse. We've been recording Nobody, and it is the first time we''ve been able to really really take our time and be musical painters in the studio. Josh is amazing and so far the rough mixes have left me feeling like I could die tomorrow with this song as my last offering to the world of music. Dance Dance Dance! WE'll have these records when we hit the road a little this summer. Word. Ward. Fjord. That's all for now. Yours,
MiWi

P.S. I love Beyondo... and Antibalas

"Street Team" - May 1, 2006

Hello good people. we would like to work a little closer with our friends and fans, in an attemp to bring our music to a larger audiece (not getting greedy, just enjoy performing, and the more people who know and enjoy our music, the more we can do this). Therefore, if you or anyone you know might like to help us distribute flyers, tell your friends, get on college radio, hand out cd's, bring us to a venue we've never played in etc... please let us know by joining the mailing list or contacting any one of us and leaving us a little note saying how much you'd be interested. That'd be sure great! And in return, you and a date could come to our concerts for free. And, if we're playing a free concert, then drinks would be on us if you'd like. Or, how about a massage from a member of Thought of your choosing.
Thanks for your support! We're a lucky, lucky, band!

april 21 @ baggot inn; NYC - April 27, 2006

last friday at Baggot Inn was really nice. our friends from wny came up to play (Ian Mitchell Band) and they killed it.... when we showed up , the bar was already packed (which is always nice) and a great roots-reggae band was warming everyone up. thought played a concise 50 minute set that felt great onstage. that club is super! good sound, well set-up room for listening and drinking, and friendly bartenders who treated us well. my personal highlight was (as has been many times) a blistering Hi Bill encore. that song always helps me channel/work out a little stress. also a great sleepless....... another reason it was such an important show was because it was a benefit. we raised money for my dear friends, Mikey and Maximo Rodriguez. their younger brother Edward was tragically killed last week. we feel as a band that music can be used as a source of healing and comfort for people, so having the opportunity to help someone when they really need it seems like it is our duty as musicians, artists, and as human beings overall. -t.a.-
